Next Year’s Plans
If your student will NOT be attending Sam Livingston School next year, we kindly request that you email the general inbox at SamLivingston@cbe.ab.ca by April 10, 2026.
If you have a student already attending Sam Livingston and you have an incoming Kindergarten aged child, please register and accept placement as soon as possible.
Students in Grade 4 that will be attending David Thompson do not need to do anything. Their registration carries over into the designated school automatically.

Student-led Conferences:
We are excited to invite you to our Student-Led Conferences today, Thursday, March 19!
Conferences are scheduled for 20-minute blocks.
During this time, your child will take the lead in sharing their learning, progress, and work samples with you. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to reflect on their growth and celebrate their achievements.
Teachers will be present in the classrooms; however, the purpose of this evening is for students to guide the conversation and showcase their work.
If a classroom teacher feels that additional discussion is needed, they have reached out to schedule a virtual conference for Friday, March 20.
Literacy Night
We are excited to invite you to our Family Literacy Night tonight!
Join us for an evening filled with engaging reading activities, interactive games, and strategies you can use at home to support your child’s literacy development. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the joy of reading together and build strong home–school connections.

Nutrition Presentation
Deb Hymers, from NStep will be delivering a presentation on nutritious eating. There will be snacks!

The Usborne Bookfair is Here!
March 19 - 22
Usborne has award-winning books for toddlers to teens, from board books and chapter books to YA novels, from dinosaurs to engineering, from sticker books to world history, French editions and much more!
Purchases at the bookfair will earn 25% in free books to add to our library collection so this is an opportunity to get some great reading for your family while benefiting the school at the same time!
Please prioritise your child’s student led conference time over shopping at the bookfair.
The bookfair will be open for in person shopping on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:30. If you are unable to shop in person, you can also browse and order online at any time until midnight on Sunday March 22nd.
