October 23 – Fun Lunch Subway
October 24 – Sam Says Bonjour (School Event)
October 24 – Halloween Dance (Council Fundraising Event – Volunteers still needed!)
October 31 – Halloween Costume Parade
Please note that costumes are welcome on October 24th in the evening, at the dance, not during the school day. The costume parade during school hours will be on October 31st Halloween Day. Thank you for your understanding.
SAM SAYS BONJOUR – CELEBRATION OF LEARNING – October 24 – 12:30-2:34
We are inviting parents to come visit your child (ren)’s classroom(s) to participate in a learning activity.
There will be a specific time block for each grade.
Your teacher will send an invite.
Please respond to the invite indicating if you will attend.
We have to limit the adults invited to 2 per family.
Please contact the office with your questions.
ENVIROLAB HELP!
We are looking for a volunteer with a truck to pick up 2 x trees (about 6-9 feet in length) and 9 x shrubs (in small pots) and deliver them to Sam Livingston on the morning of Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Pick up at Foothills Nursery (234129 Range Rd 284, Rocky View No. 44.) The items will be ready for pick-up at the nursery at 8:00 AM. The trees will need to at Sam Livingston before 10:30 AM on the 22nd for the volunteers to plant. If you can help, please email Valerie, ecolesamenvirolab@gmail.com, to confirm. Thank you in advance!
MESSAGE FROM COUNCIL
The Halloween Dance is coming up and is such a fun event for families.
It CANNOT run without volunteers!! We currently only have 17 of 54 positions filled!!
PLEASE consider volunteering in one of the following areas:

HALLOWEEN COSTUME GUIDELINES
Halloween is a Thursday this year. We look forward to seeing all the different costumes that students choose to wear.
Please note, a costume is not mandatory and personal choice will be respected.
If your child chooses to wear a costume, we request no masks, no make-up and no weapons.
We also are requesting that you do NOT send candies and sweets to school on this day.
