National Bike and Roll to School Day is next Wednesday May 6th.  To celebrate the Sam Livingston Bike Bus is making its debut!

 Poster first ride

A bike bus (or bike train) is a group of people (often students and parents), who cycle together to a destination along a set route on a specific schedule. It operates like a school bus, with designated "stops" where more riders join the convoy, offering a safe, social, and healthy alternative to driving.

REMEMBER

  • All participants big or small MUST wear a helmet!
  • Bring a bike lock to lock up the bikes during the school hours.

To celebrate this kick off event, there will be healthy snacks and beverages for participants upon arrival to school that morning.
There is a WhatsApp group started for interested participants if you have further questions. Please feel free to message for more information or just show up at one of the "stops".

It will run every Wednesday until the end of the school year (weather dependent).
Hope to see you all out on May 6th! 🚲
