A NOTE ABOUT FEES
Please be sure to check and pay all current fees in your MyCBE account.
Swimming fees will show up in your MyCBE account after the lessons have concluded. We aim to charge as accurate an amount as possible.
CONTINUOUS REGISTRATION
Please be aware that existing students are automatically registered for the 25 - 26 school year. K to Grade 3 here at Sam Livingston and Grade 4 students transitioning to David Thompson. Registrations are considered “continuous” meaning no actions are required on the part of families. If your child is NOT attending Sam Livingston School or David Thompson School next year, please contact the office as soon as possible.
ALIEN IN-LINE – Everything You Need to Know
All students will participate in our Alien In-line skating residency.
Kindergarten, Grades 3 and 4 - January 27-30
Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2 – February 3-7
Students will receive in-line skating instruction in our school gymnasium.
Students will receive two instructional blocks from certified skating instructors.
General Information
All skates and safety equipment will be supplied to students; helmets are available if students do not have their own or forget to bring it to school
- NOTE: If possible, students are encouraged to bring their own helmet from home to use for the duration of the residency (with safety sticker certification, ex. CSA, CPSC). Please ensure your child's helmet is clearly labelled with their name and classroom.
- Students should wear socks during the week of their scheduled skating days. Students should bring extra socks in their backpack in case the weather is inclement (ie. to avoid having wet socks)

2 Family Skate Nights will be hosted this year. One on January 30th from 5-7pm and the second on February 6 from 5-7. Sign up and cost information to follow.
CONSTRUCTION AROUND THE SCHOOL
Primary Construction will be working on the streets around the school on behalf of the City of Calgary to replace end-of-life traffic signals. Work will be done at the intersection of Lake Bonavista Drive SE and Bonaventure Drive SE. Alternating traffic right lane closures, 24/7 parking lane closures, no parking zones, and alternating pedestrian detours accommodations will be in place to coordinate the scope and work areas. The work is scheduled to begin on 2025-01-17, and be completed by 2025-02- 11.
