COMMUNICATION OF ACADEMIC PROGRESS

This is a new process for us, as we are working towards sharing summative assessment information in a timely manner with parents on a more consistent basis.
Summative Assessments are tasks that get completed at the end of a learning cycle to capture evidence of student learning that has taken place during that specific time period. The mark associated to that assessment reflects the learning done during that window of time only. Future marks are not cumulative and as such, a collection of these marks are not used to create an average. The marks you see are reflective of the connection from the curricular outcome and student performance against that specific outcome during that specific time.
